Insulators.-Composite high-tension insulators comprise semi-spherical cups of uniform thickness which are either nested together as shown in Fig. 3, or arranged as shown in Fig. 2, and the connecting cement reinforced by metal netting A and wire coils B. A metal socket G surrounds the porcelain bodies when arranged as shown in Fig. 2, and a metal hood I when the parts are nested together.
