1366188 Machinery guard PONT-A-MOUSSON SA 25 Oct 1972 [19 Nov 1971] 49191/72 Heading F2J A two-part guard for a lathe or circular grinder comprises a reinforced sheet metal plate 7 horizontally covering the whole of the working region and having a substantially vertical flap 8 pivotally mounted at 10 along the front edge thereof, the plate 7 being pivotally mounted about a vertical pivot 14 on a clamp 15 adjustably positioned on a vertical post 17 to vary the height of the guard assembly to suit different work pieces, or to enable the guard assembly to be used on lathes &c. having different spindle heights. One or both of the guard parts 8, 7 have transparent inspection pores 11 and may be flat (as shown) or may be curved (not shown).
