Abstract

1365566 Aerials STROMBERG COMPONENTS Ltd 11 April 1973 [14 Nov 1972] 52460/72 Heading H4A An aerial reflector mounting device comprises two jaws A, B which are hingedly connected together at C and which when closed around an aerial boom F hold it tightly. The jaws are formed with external grooves E, which receive the side edges H<SP>1</SP> of an aperture H in the reflector G, which is thereby tightly gripped and held in place. An enlarged portion of the aperture beyond the edges H<SP>1</SP> allows insertion of the boom and the mounting device on assembly. A spigot D may project inside the jaw A and enter a corresponding hole in the boom F, so providing axial location for the device. A hinge C between the jaws A, B may be in the form of a thin membrane, and the three parts may be moulded as a unit using, for example, low density polyethylene.
