The compounds of the invention may be prepared by a process which comprises (a) reacting a compound of the general formula wherein R and R 1 have the significance given in claim 1 and R 6 represents a lower alkyl group, with hydroxylamine in an inert solvent to give an amidoxime of the general formula or (b) reacting the preceding amidoxime with an appropriate lower acylating agent or a chloroformic acid lower alkyl ester or reacting an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt of the above amidoxime with a lower alkylating agent or (c) reacting the above amidoxime with a carbonyl compound of general formula or an acetal thereof and (d) splitting up a racemate obtained into the optical antipodes, if desired, and (e) converting a compound obtained into a salt, if desired. The term "lower" used throughout means having up to 5 carbon atoms.
