Abstract

1364312 1-Substituted imidazoles BEECHAM GROUP Ltd 25 Jan 1972 [27 Jan 1971] 3243/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises compounds of formula and their acid addition salts, wherein R is C 10 or C 15 alkyl or alkenyl. Otherwise specified are compounds where R<SP>1</SP> is dodecyl, tetradecyl and dodec-11-ynyl. These compounds are prepared by N-substitution of imidazole; they have hypocholesterolaemic activity (see Division A5).
