Abstract

1364108 Tubular heat exchangers STALLAVAL TURBIN AB 22 Dec 1971 [23 Dec 1970] 59555/71 Heading F4S [Also in Division F1] In a plant including an axial flow steam turbine 1 and a heat exchanger 4, the heat conducting medium flowing through the tubes 8 of the latter is heated in at least two stages by exhaust steam taken from the turbine at different pressure levels by dividing the turbine outlet into at least two parallel flow channels by means of annular partition walls 12, 13 on the stator and rotor blades respectively. The walls 12, 13 merge with a fixed wall 14 defining chambers 10, 11 which direct the respective flows into chambers of heat exchanger 4 separated by a partition 9. At least one blade stage 16 is provided in the lower pressure flow channel. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) four parallel flow channels lead to the corresponding stages of the heat exchanger.
