Abstract

1363905 Fuse holder CANNON ELECTRIC (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd 26 Oct 1972 [1 Nov 1971] 50632/71 Heading H2G A fuse holder assembly consists of a rectangular box 1, two upstanding walls 4, 5 parallel to the long sides, which are each suitable for the entry of flat strip cable 2, 3, which is bent over and down inside said walls, each track of the strip being between parallel separators extending between said walls, the compartments so formed each containing a fuse, whose ends engage the tracks at the end of its compartment, and a lid 10 which traps the cables in place and holds each fuse in its compartment. Each fuse may be a cartridge fuse 8, or a plastic element surrounded by copper strip 9. Contact pressure between track and fuse end may be provided by plastic spring members 6 or metallic springs 7 or the inner walls may be resilient. The lid 10 snaps on to the box portion 1 and has holes 11 to receive studs 12. Snap in lugs 13 are for panel mounting.
