Examples refer to polymerizing unsaturated polyesters or methyl methacrylate with tetra-(4-tolyl)-1,2-bis-(trimethylsiloxy)ethane, diphenyl-di-(4-tolyl)-1,2- bis-(trimethylsiloxy)ethane or 9,9<SP>1</SP>-bis-(trimethylsiloxy)9,91 -difluorenyl.
