Abstract
1359858 Video record TED BILDPLATTEN AG AEG - TELEFUNKEN - TELDEC 9 June 1971 [18 June 1970] 19775/71 Heading G5R A disc shaped record with groove modulation for playback at 1000 r.p.m. on an air cushion is formed of a PVC foil of 100-150 micron thickness having a groove density of at least 100 grooves/m.m. The foil is composed of an emulsion PVC (K value 70) with the following additives; 2-3% by weight glycol ester of dibasic acid; up to 1% by weight high polymer ethylene wax; 0À6% by weight acetylene black and 0À1% by weight diphenyl thiourea. The record is pressed in a two piece mould comprising a heatable and coolable piece and a piece including a rubber convex cushion. The foil is inserted in the press when cold, pressure of 140 kp./cm.<SP>2</SP> is then applied after which the press temperature is raised to 170‹ C. for a few seconds.
