1359391 Rotary shears MOELLER & NEUMANN GmbH 28 Feb 1972 [26 Feb 1971] 9115/72 Heading B3W A shear for cutting two webs, rods or bars of rolled material travelling side-by-side comprises a first pair of rotary cutters 3 mounted on a pair of driving shafts 2 and a second pair of rotary cutters 5 mounted on a pair of hollow driving shafts 4 which respectively surround the driving shafts 2 of the first pair, the first and second pairs of cutters being selectively drivable simultaneously or singly. Drive motors 10 and 16 drive shafts 2 and 4 respectively through magnetic clutches 11 and 17 counter-rotating gears 6, 7 and 12, 13.
