Abstract

1358956 Cyanoacrylate adhesive bonded laminates SCHERING AG 25 April 1972 [27 April 1971] 19094/72 Heading B5N [Also in Divisions C2 and C3] Surfaces, e.g. of glass, metal, plastics, rubber, wood or paper, can be bonded using curable adhesive preparations comprising at least one cyanoacrylate ester of the formula in which R represents an alkyl or alkenyl group containing up to 20 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group or a phenyl group, and at least one ester of the formula in which each of R 1 and R 2 , which may be the same or different, represents an alkyl or alkenyl group containing up to 18 carbon atoms. The adhesive can be applied to either or both of the surfaces to be bonded together. Examples illustrate the bonding of pairs of polished aluminium sheets.
