Abstract
1358107 Fixing photographic images FUKI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 29 Dec 1971 [29 Dec 1970] 60561/71 Heading G2C A dry process for forming an image upon a photo-sensitive element containing a dispersion of globules of an organic halogen compound and globules of N-vinyl carbazole in a water soluble binder and which contains difurfurylidene pentoerithritol, which process comprises the successive steps of (a) imagewise exposing the element to ultraviolet or visible light, (b) heating the element and (c) uniformly exposing the element to ultraviolet or visible light. The polyhalogenated compound may be represented by the general formula: R-C (H) 3-m X m , wherein R represents hydrogen, X, COOR', or C(H) 3-n X n R' represents hydrogen, a methyl or ethyl group, X represents chlorine, bromine or iodine and m and n are each 2 or 3. The heating may be at a temperature of from 40 to 230‹C for a time of from 0À5 seconds to 10 minutes. A photosensitive element suitable for use in the process is also disclosed and claimed in U.K. Specification 1358108. (Heading G2C)
