1358038 Halocyclopentadiene adducts HOOKER CHEMICAL CORP 14 July 1971 [20 July 1970] 58859/73 Divided out of 1356446 Heading C2C A diadduct having the structure is made by reacting 2,5-bicyclo-(2,2,1)-heptadiene with a halogenated cyclopentadiene of structure in a molar ratio of more than 2 moles of halogenated cyclopentadiene per mole of bicycloheptadiene at a pressure of from 1À1 p.s.i.g. to 100 atmospheres. In the formulas each X independently represents F, Cl or Br, and each Y independently represents F, Cl, Br, or optionally halogenated C 1-10 alkyl or alkoxy where each halogen is independently F, Cl or Br.
