Abstract
1357987 Automatic whistles SUCHIRON KAGAKU KOGYO KK and DAISHIN TRADING CO Ltd 8 Sept 1972 [3 April 1972 29 July 1972] 41818/72 Heading G5J A valve 29 opens and closes an aperture 13 between two resonator chambers 9, 10 to change the note produced by a whistle in a toy fire-engine or the like, A fan 15 blows air through a nozzle (11, Fig. 4, not shown) to a conventional whistling mouth (14) and knifeedge which are formed in one wall of one resonator chamber 9. The resonator chambers 9, 10 are formed integrally with the fan chamber 8. The valve 29 is attached to a rod 28 moved up and down by a cam 25 driven through gears by a motor 16 which also drives the fan 15 and a rotating barrier 7 around a lamp 6. Alternative embodiments have three (Fig. 5, not shown) or more resonator chambers and may play tunes of more than ten notes.
