Abstract

1357088 Tentering - fabrics LINDAUER DORNIER GmbH 23 Feb 1973 [25 May 1972] 9095/73 Heading D1S A combined stenter clip and pin strip comprises a clamping frame 6 beneath which a pin strip carrier 9 is movable in a direction inclined relative to a clamping plate 5 of the frame 6, at least one pin strip 10 disposed on that side of the carrier 9 which, in operation, is towards a fabric being gripped, and a clip member 18 being moved to inoperative or operative position, respectively, on movement to operative or inoperative position of the carrier 9. As shown, the clip 2 comprises a part 3 having a clamping edge 3 thereon which, in operation, grips a fabric 7 against the plate 5. The carrier 9 is slidable on a rail 8 inclined at 45‹ to the plate 5. Two pin strips 10, 10' are mounted on the carrier 9 and, as shown in Fig. 1, the strip 10' holds a fabric 11 with a supporting belt 12 thereunder. The carrier 9 is maintained in its operative and inoperative positions by a leaf spring 13 and has end stops formed by the underside of the plate 5 and a spring sleeve 15. The spring 13 is disposed between two fingers 17 on the carrier 9 which is displaceable by an element (not shown) engaging a projection 16 thereon. A feeler roller 18 on the clip 2 is moved to its inoperative position by the fingers 17 when the carrier 9 is raised. The body 1 of the combined clip and strip is entrained in a guideway 19 by a groove 20 and pins 21. The guideway 19 has a pivotally mounted front part 22 swingable outwardly to allow the bodies 1 to be removed.
