Abstract

1356233 Door frame G R SCHMIDT 21 Jan 1972 [22 Jan 1971] 2954/72 Heading E1J A fixed door frame 2 has first and second cover members 6, 9 for engaging the sides of an aperture in a wall, the second member 9 being on the side of the operative opposite to the door leaf 4 and being secured to the frame 2 by dowels 15. Preferably the vertical side members of the cover members 6, 9 and frame 2 are connected to their respective transoms by dowels, Figs. 1-3 (not shown). Before the second cover 9 is connected to the frame, the frame 2 is cut on site to the required depth corresponding to the wall's thickness. The dowels may be glued in place. The frame may be of wood, plastics or metal.
