Abstract

1355826 Lamps; ventilators HOWORTH AIR CONDITIONING Ltd 14 Dec 1972 [15 Dec 1971] 58152/71 Headings F4R and F4V A lighting unit for use in an operating theatre comprises a plurality of lamps (not shown) mounted in a dome a and carried by a casing al which closes the dome. Each lamp projects through a respective aperture a2 formed in the casing and surrounded by a flange a3 having holes a4 through which air can enter the chamber between the dome and the casing. The air is heated by the lamps and leaves the chamber through a flexible pipe cl either by convection or under the influence of a suction fan.
