Abstract

1355566 Suction grippers CALSILOX SA 7 Sept 1971 [22 Sept 1970] 41744/71 Heading B8H A suction gripping device for use in removing upper and end crusts 2, 5 cut from a block 1 of material consists of a suction gripper 17 which is mounted on a vertically movable frame 14 and which pivotally supports, about axes 23, end frames 22 provided with suction grippers 30. Each end frame is pivotable by means of an hydraulic ram 24 and includes a pair of rods 26 on which the gripper 30 is pivotally mounted, a roller on the gripper being adapted to engage the top surface of the beams 7 supporting the block 1. The grippers 17, 30 are connected by pipe-lines 19, 31, 21 to a suction apparatus 20.
