1355378 Moulding drums with inserts N P KINARIWALA 7 Aug 1971 37219/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division D1] In moulding a grooved drum 1, Fig. 2, having metal reinforcements 5, 6 for parts of the grooves 2, the reinforcements are held in position by retaining elements 7, which are held on the mould wall 18 by bolts 21 (Fig. 5). After moulding, the bolt 21 is unlocked and removed from a section 18 of the mould. The mould wall has ribs 19 for locating the reinforcements. Bolts 10 secure the drum 1 to a shaft 12. An electrically conductive plate may be provided on the surface of the drum during the moulding process.
