Abstract

1355043 Moulding motor armatures GENERAL MOTORS Ltd 17 June 1971 [18 June 1970] 29604/70 Heading B5A [Also in Division H2] An electric motor armature, i.e. a rotor or stator, is cast or pressure moulded from a mixture of epoxy or other synthetic resin and iron powder. The armature may be cast in a silicone rubber mould when the mixture comprises, by weight, one part epoxy resin and six parts powdered iron. Alternatively when using a proportion of one part epoxy resin and at least twelve parts of powdered iron the mixture is pressure moulded in a rigid mould.
