1354830 1,3-Disubstituted thioureas DAINIPPON PHARMACEUTICAL CO Ltd 31 Aug 1972 40485/72 Heading C2C Novel compounds of formula (including salts thereof) wherein one of R 1 and R 2 represents a pyridyl group and the other represents a C 2 -C 4 alkyl group substituted with a C 1 -C 4 alkoxy group, a hydroxy group, a [C 1 -C 4 alkoxy] carbonyl group, a carboxyl group, an aralkylthio group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, an N<SP>3</SP>-pyridyl-thioureidoalkyldithio group or a C 1 -C 4 alkylamino group; an amino group substituted with a C 1 -C 4 alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group wherein the alkyl group has 1 to 3 carbon atoms or an acyl group; a morpholino group; a piperazino group optionally substituted with an aralkyl group wherein the alkyl group has 1 to 3 carbon atoms; or a C 1 -C 4 alkylideneamino group of which the alkylidene is optionally substituted with a pyridyl group are made by standard methods. Pharmaceutical preparations active against hypoxia and diseases caused by hypoxia in local tissues contain (I) as active ingredient. Administration is orally or parenterally.
