1354579 Blood exchange transfusion device B BRAUN MELSUNGEN AG 21 May 1971 [22 May 1970] 16270/71 Heading A5R [Also in Division F1] A device for use in blood exchange transfusion comprises an outer cylinder 2 having an open end and a closed end with a plurality of eccentrically arranged bores 11 equally spaced from the axis passing through the closed end; an inner cylinder 1 rotatably mounted within the outer cylinder, having a closed end adjacent the closed end of the outer cylinder with a single eccentric bore 3 passing therethrough, the single eccentric bore 3 being radially spaced so that, on relative rotation of the cylinders, the bore 3 may communicate with any of the plurality of bores 11 in the end of the outer cylinder. The inner cylinder 1 either comprises the body of an injection syringe 20, Fig. 3, or has an open end which receives (Fig. 2) the body of a separate syringe.
