Abstract

1352474 Knitting-machines ELITEX 4 April 1972 [2 April 1971] 15493/72 Heading D1C A one- or two-cylinder circular machine has two motors 2, 3, one of which has two speeds, for driving the cylinder(s). Single speed motor 2 rotates transmission shaft 11 via an expanding pulley 6, belt 13, pulleys 10 and 9 and second belt 15 this motor is used during knitting the leg and foot. The pulleys 9 and 10 are fixed to the shaft 8 of the two-speed motor 3. The cylinder can thereby be oscillated at a reduced speed while the heel is knitted, and at a lower speed still during any changes in operation.
