Abstract

1352071 Hydroisomerizing paraffins SUN OIL CO 19 April 1971 [15 April 1970 (2)] 26749/71 Heading C5E A paraffin feed which contains at least 6 p.p.m. sulphur is isomerized in the presence of H 2 and an aluminosilicate catalyst having a molar ratio SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 in the range 15 : 1 to 100 : 1. The feed may be a straight run gasoline containing 18-221 p.p.m. sulphur and the catalyst an acid-leached mordenite. Suitable conditions are 290-340‹ C., 1-10 LHSV and a H 2 /hydrocarbon ratio of 2À5 to 3À7.
