Saddles.-In a spring. roller waterproof cover for cycle saddles, the roller is removably arranged within a casing A secured to a folding frame H clipped to the upper rear fork of the machine. When the cover is required, the frame is unfolded so that the casing occupies a position above and behind the saddle, as shown in full lines in Fig. 4; the cover P is then drawn out and a loop at the front engaged with a pin secured to the saddle peak. When not required, the cover is released from the saddle, and a wing- nut at I is then slackened so that the frame can be folded till the casing rests upon the mud-guard. The casing is fitted with a hinged lid. At one end the casing and frame are furnished with vertical slots to receive and prevent the rotation of a square pin secured to the end of the spindle within the roiler, and at the opposite end the casing and frame are perforated to receive a round projection upon the roller, the roller being solid at this end. The control spring is fixed at its inner end to the non-rotatable spindle and at its outer end to a sleeve secured within the end of the roller. After the lid has been opened, the square spindle end can be raised in its slots and the roller moved to an angular position so that the round projection can be disengaged and the roller removed from the casing. When the apparatus is folded down, the slot in the casing end allows any water carried into the casing to drain away.
