Abstract
1350462 Valves SARGENT INDUSTRIES Inc 3 March 1971 5932/71 Heading F2V A pressure regulator upstream of an inflation aspirator delivers gas at a pressure which rises as the inlet pressure from a gas bottle falls, thereby maintaining the efficiency of the aspirator throughout an inflation cycle. As shown, when spool 58 is released by trigger mechanism 26, it is shifted rightwards by spring 74 to allow gas to flow via bore 54 from inlet chamber 52 to outlet chamber 44, the outlet pressure acting on area 3 and being assisted by inlet pressure acting on the difference between areas 1, 2. In the closed position, the spool engages 0-ring 68. The chamber 52 may also connect with a fill valve (92), a bursting disc (88) and a pressure gauge (21).
