1349227 Dental handpieces AMALGAMATED DENTAL CO Ltd 14 Nov 1972 52584/72 Heading A5R [Also in Division F2] A hose for supplying air and/or water to a dental handpiece has at least two conduits one of which contains a fibre optic guide. As described the hose 1 comprises a central cruciform spine having integral therewith a conduit 3 containing the fibre optic guide 4, an air supply conduit 6 and a pair of water supply conduits 7. The hose has a plug 8 and screw collar 9 for engagement with the handpiece which may have an internal fibre optic system which emerges adjacent the tool of the handpiece for directing light to the working area. Alternatively the guide may emerge from hose 1 at a point before plug 8 and extend outside the handpiece.
