Abstract
1348188 Combating soil fungi GREAT LAKES CHEMICAL CORP 28 April 1971 [1 May 1970] 11930/71 Heading ASE A method of treatment of soil containing pathogenic soil fungi capable of causing root rot, comprises implanting at a depth of at least three feet below the surface of the soil a charge of a volatile fungicide. A preferred fungicide is methyl bromide. Other suitable fungicides are the volatile sulphur-based fungicides such as carbon bisulphide and the volatile halohydrocarbonyl fungicides other than methyl bromide, dichloropropene ethylene dibromide and chloropicrin.
