Abstract
1347446 Selective signalling SANDCO Ltd 28 July 1972 [28 July 1972] 35432/72 Heading G4H [Also in Division G1] A package 15 on a steel conveyer belt is deflected to a particular one of several possible receiving stations selected by operating a particular one of magnetizers 14a, 14b, 14c and detecting the resulting magnetized spot, e.g. 20, by an appropriately positioned magnetometer (see Division G1) 21a, 21b (or 21c). Demagnetizers 23a, 23b, 23c are provided upstream of the magnetizers. The magnetizers are controlled from a switchboard 17 and operated when the package interrupts a photo-electric link 26, 27.
