1346737 Purifying acrylic acid STANDARD OIL CO 8Feb 1972 5738/72 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Acrylic acid containing aldehydes as impurities is purified by adding one or more of hydrazine, phenylhydrazine, aniline, monoethanolamine, ethylenediamine, glycine or sulphuric acid, and distilling to obtain a distillate of purified acrylic acid. The starting impure acrylic acid may be that obtained by the catalytic oxidation of propylene.
