1345724 Inorganic foam elements SENTRALINSTITUTT FOR INDUSTRIELL FORSKNING 14 May 1971 [15 May 1970] 14986/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division C1] The invention relates to inorganic foam elements identical with those of Specification 1,345,721, but is directed to a method of reducing crack formation during cooling by removal of outer layers of the block after solidification coupled with control of the temperature profile across the block prior to solidification. The elements may be cut in the manner forming the subject-matter of Specification 1,345,723 and cutting may be effected by local crushing as set out in Specification 1,339,343.
