1344288 Coated paper E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 14 May 1971 14998/71 Heading B2E [Also in Division C1] Frictionising agents for paper and paper products comprise novel equasols of positively charged colloidal particles of silica coated with an aluminium-borate complex of formula Al 4 (OH) x Y 12-x .ZH 3 BO 3 , wherein x is 6 to 11, Y is acetate or formate and Z is ¢ to 4 and the molar ratio of Al to surface silica (includes aluminate groups where they have replaced silica groups) is from 0.25:1 to 4:1.
