Abstract

1343548 Making lined containers; sheet forming AKERLUND & RAUSING AB 21 Nov 1972 [13 Dec 1971] 53726/72 Headings B5D and B5A [Also in Division B8] A lined container is formed by inserting an erected carton blank into a mould 10 including a recess 12 which has an edge 13 coinciding with slits 8 in the erected carton blank, and deep drawing a plastics material lining 14 into the blank so that the blank and lining are pressed outwardly, as at 19, into the recess 12 and bubbles 17 of the lining material 14 press the blank material outwardly in the region of the slits 8. An upwardly extending edge 15 on the mould 10 forms a downwardly and outwardly inclined flange 16 in the lining material 14.
