1342028 Conjugated unsaturated fatty acids or their esters DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 19 April 1971 [18 April 1970] 27267/71 Heading C2C Conjugated unsaturated fatty acids or their esters are obtained from epoxy fatty acids or their esters by pyrolysing them at a temperature of 420‹ to 580‹ C. in the presence of acid catalysts or reacting them with acetic acid or acetic acid derivatives to obtain partial or complete conversion to the corresponding vicinal hydroxyacetoxy or vicinal diacetoxy fatty acids or esters thereof and subsequently pyrolysing the products at a temperature of from 420‹ to 580‹ C.
