Abstract
1341094 Cosmetic emulsions BEIERSDORF AG 13 May 1971 [15 May 1970] 14756/71 Heading A5B [Also in Divisions B1 and C2] Water-in-oil emulsions, suitable for creams and salves use as emulsifying agent a glycerine ester of wool wax acids (see Division C2). The fatty phase may comprise mineral oils and waxes, vegetable and animal oils, waxes, and synthetic fatty acid esters and alcohols, and the aqueous phase may contain dissolved salts, glycerine, and citric and lactic acids. Wool wax alcohols and oleic acid esters of sorbitan, pentaerythritol and glycerol may also be used as emulsifiers. Examples describe a cream comprising wool wax acids glycerine partial ester, cake paraffin, ozokerite, (R.T.M.) microcrystalline wax, vaseline (R.T.M.), and paraffin oil in the fatty phase and magnesium sulphate, glycerine, water and perfume in the aqueous phase, and a salve base comprising the wool wax acids glycerine partial ester, paraffin wax, vaseline (R.T.M.) and paraffin oil.
