Abstract

1341085 Tube walls WAAGNER-BIRO AG 30 Nov 1971 [30 Nov 1970] 55605/71 Heading F4B In a tube wall adapted to carry considerable loads the individual tubes are disposed substantially parallel to one another and arranged in a number of mutually parallel planes, and the individual tubes are joined together by fins or welded-in webs extending parallel to the tubes. The tubes may be arranged alternately in two planes as shown in Fig. 3, in three planes Fig. 4, or in more than three planes (Fig. 2, not shown). Instead of being alternately distributed the tubes may be arranged with alternate groups in different planes as shown in Fig. 5. Other arrangements are described.
