Abstract

1341016 D type bi-stable circuit GENERAL INSTRUMENT MICROELECTRONICS Ltd 19 April 1971 [11 Feb 1970] 6694/70 Heading H3T A D-type bi-stable circuit comprises two pulse steering NOR gates for driving an output bi-stable circuit, each NOR gate having a first input connected to the T input and one of them having a second input connected to storage means and via a switch means to the D-input, the switch being controlled by the T input signals so that one level of the T input signal allows the storage means to take the valve of the D input signal and another level of the T input signal isolates the D input from the storage means and the steering gates transfer the data on the storage means to the output bi-stable circuit. The switching means may be a MOSFET G1 and the bi-stable circuit two crosscoupled NOR gates G4, G5. The storage means may be capacitive and comprise the input capacitance of a MOSFET used in each NOR gate 92-95. The output of the one gate G2 may be connected to the second input of the other gate G3 or a D input may be directly applied to the second input of this gate G3. The circuit may be integrated.
