Abstract

1340470 Reagent dispenser TECHNICON INSTRUMENTS CORP 19 April 1971 [11 Feb 1970] 31420/72 Divided out of 1328433 Heading B1X [Also in Division B8] Apparatus for supplying a plurality of different processing liquids concurrently to a continuous flow liquid analysis apparatus comprises a plurality of containers 10 rigidly supported together as a unit and containing the respective processing liquids, the containers having respective tubes extending into them, the tubes providing outlets for separate and concurrent connection to respective inlets of the analysis apparatus. The containers may be of polyethylene and fused together as are 10, 11, in the figure, each container having a cupshaped sealing element 17 through which pass connections to a pair of tubes 22, 23 depending into the liquid in the container. Tube 23 may carry a housing 26 for a filter element. The upper ends of tube 23 and nipple 21 communicating with tube 21 are connected by tubing 27. For use, tubing 27 is disconnected at 21 and connected to a suction inlet of the analysis apparatus. Alternatively, the contents of the container may be pressurized for the dispensing operation.
