Abstract

1339737 Immunological preparations KOWA CO Ltd 16 Dec 1970 [18 Dec 1969 19 Feb 1970 29 July 1970 28 Aug 1970] 59757/70 Heading A5B [Also in Division B1] Serum from a primary hepatoma patient on foetal serum to be used in immunizing an animal to produce anti-alpha-1 fetoglobulin antiserum is purified before use by dialysing it against 0.1 to 0.01 w/v% aqueous acrinol solution for about 24 hours. The acrinol solution is then centrifuged to obtain the sediment, and the sediment may be purified by conventional protein fractionation methods to obtain substantially pure alpha-1-fetoglobulins.
