Abstract
1339352 Control of DC motors HOLZER PATENT AG 19 April 1971 [16 April 1970] 26774/71 Heading H2J An electric switching device is connected in parallel with a permanent magnet reversible motor whose speed is controlled by a semiconductor switching device, the electronic switching device being arranged to conduct on each occasion when the semi-conductor switching device is conductive The motor 1 is fed from an A.C. line 9 and its speed is controlled by a control thyristor 2 and its rotational direction by a reversing switch 4 operated by an automatic cycling control. A flywheel thyristor 6 is actuated by a trigger device 5 which also actuates the control thyristor 2, so that the flywheel thyristor 6 is conductive only when the control thyristor 2 is conducting. In another embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown), the output from the control thyristor 2 operates a trigger device (8) which controls the flywheel thyristor 6.
