Abstract
1338878 Flow regulator for liquids E FULLERTON 1 March 1972 9506/72 Heading B8T A continuously operating plant feeds cream to a flow regulator through inlets 2, 4 and this cream flows through A into an intermittently operating machine which fills cakes or containers. When the filler is not operating then opentopped float 5 rises up cylinder 1 at the top of which is an overflow 3. The float falls when cream is drawn into the filler and as it moves down any cream adhering to the walls of the cylinder is removed. A pin 6 which traverses the cylinder prevents the float from falling so low in the cylinder that it might blank connections 2, 4. Materials of different viscosities may be used by putting suitable weights inside float 5. Rods may be attached to float 5 to operate switching devices at the top and bottom of its travel so that the producing plant and filling machine may be automatically operated. Opening A may be closed and cream then flows from inlet 2 out through outlet 4.
