Abstract
1338527 Electrolytic stripping bath BERGISCHE METALLWARENFABRIK DILLENBERG & CO K G 7 June 1972 [23 June 1971] 26593/72 Heading C7B A bath for electrolytic detachment of coatings composed of NiO, Ag, Au or Cr from support bodies of Cu, Cu alloy, tin alloy, stainless steel, high temp nickel base alloy, or high temp chronium base alloy, the bath comprising 750- 935 like of sulphur-containing acid, alkyl sulphonic acid, aryl sulphonic acid as a stripping component and 60-200 cc/ litre of an alcohol selected from the group consisting of methanol and ethanol, the current being 5-25 amp/dm<SP>2</SP> and the temperature 20-80C. A nitro aromatic compound is used as an accelerator in amount 5-50 cc per litre of bath namely mononitrobenzene, dinetrobenzene trinitrobenzene, mononitrotoluene and mono, di- and tri-nitrobenzoic acids. A typical composition is 900 cc phenol sulphonic acid 80 cc methyl alcohol 20 cc mononitrotoleune.
