1337884 Benzodiazepines SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO Ltd 7 Feb 1972 [9 Feb 1971 6 April 1971 28 May 1971] 5582/72 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R 1 =H, alkyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, acyloxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, alkylaminoalkyl, dialkylaminoalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, carbamoyl, alkylcarbamoyl; R 2 =H, alkyl ; X=H, halogen, NO 2 , CF 3 ; Y, Z=H, halogen, alkyl, NO 2 ), their 4,5-dihydro derivatives and salts thereof are prepared by reducing a compound of the formula with diborane, optionally followed by salt formation.
