1,271,588. Dibenzothiepin derivatives. SPOFA UNITED PHARMACEUTICAL WORKS. 23 Oct., 1970 [25 Oct., 1969], No. 50383/70. Heading C2C. Novel compounds of Formula I (in which R is H, halogen, CF 3 , C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy or C 1-4 alkylthio), and their acid addition salts, are prepared by reacting a nitrile of Formula II with hydroxylamine free base and, if desired, converting the product into an acid addition salt. The novel compounds and salts have central sedative activity.
