1336428 Anti-foam compositions CHINOIN GYOGYSZER-ES VEGYESZETI TERMEKEK GYARA RT 22 Dec 1970 [31 Dec 1969] 60888/70 Headings C3R and C3P [Also in Divisions Cl and C2] Anti-foam compositions comprise polypropylene glycol in admixture with at least one polymer or copolymer having an alkylene and/or alkyleneoxy chain and which bears hydrophilic groups such as carboxyl, carboxylic acid salt, carboxamide, carboalkoxy and alkoxy groups. Suitable polymers are polyacrylic acid and salts thereof, polyacrylamide and fatty acid esters of polyethylene glycol. Uses.-Prevention of foam formation during bio-oxidation and during the fermentation preparation of tetracyclines, penicillins, nystatin, bacitracin, streptomycin, neomycin, fumogillin, enzymes and ergot-alkaloids.
