1333523 Sintered beryllium bodies KAWECKI BERYLCO INDUSTRIES Inc 9 March 1972 11118/72 Heading C7D Be or Be alloy bodies of at least 99% density are made by cold pressing the powders at 30, 000 - 90, 000 p.s.i. and then hot pressing at 100- 10, 000 p.s.i. at 1400-2150‹F. The cold pressed compact may have a density of 60-95% and may be formed by mechanical or isostatic pressing. Fine grain sized slabs, cylinders and cones are produced having increased yield strength, ultimate strength and elongation.
