1333012 Sound attenuating earcups GENTEX CORP 12 Jan 1971 1532/71 Addition to 1243728 Heading A3V [Also in Division H4] In an earcup as disclosed in Specification No. 1243728 the sealing surface slopes inwardly with respect to the axis of shell 20 towards the opening in the shell with a slope which varies smoothly and continuously round the periphery of the earcup. In alternative embodiments the sealing surface either is substantially flat, as shown, or is corrugated. The pad 63 may comprise a core of sponge plastics such as self-foaming polyurethane within a flexible layer 66 e.g. of plastics material.
