Abstract

1332345 Nitro esters KEMIRA OY 3 Nov 1970 [3 Nov 1969] 52305/70 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] 2-Nitrobutanol-1 is reacted with monobromoacetic acid in benzene, to give 1-(bromoacetoxy)-2-nitro-n-butane. The following esters may be prepared by analogous procedures 1 - (bromoacetoxy) - 2 - nitro - 2 - methylpropane; 1,3 - bis - (bromoacetoxy) - 2 - nitro - 2 - ethyl propane; 1-(bromoacetoxy)-2-nitro-n-butane ; 2-(bromoacetoxy)-3-nitro-n-butane ; 2 - (bromoacetoxy) - 3 - nitro - 3 - methyl - nbutane; and 2-(bromoacetoxy)-3-nitro-n-pentane.
