Abstract

1331818 Mounting magnetic heads for disc record arrays INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 19 April 1971 [18 March 1970] 20536/71 Heading G5R Rotary magnetic discs 14 co-operate with transducer assemblies 16 carried on supports 50 extending from a post 18 which is rotatable between an inoperative position in which the transducers are withdrawn from the discs and a unique operative position defined by engagement of one or more stops 38 on the post 18 with one or more stops 42 rigidly connected to the housing 10. The stops 38 may be adjusted on the post 18 and then clamped thereto, and the transducers may be adjusted on the supports 50 by means of screws (52), Fig. 8 (not shown). The post 18 carries a circuit card 54, and a plurality of such posts may be spaced about the circumference of the discs 14.
