Abstract

1330645 Staging W C COOMBS 21 Sept 1970 [19 Sept 1969] 46408/69 Addition to 1223905 Heading E1S Staging as claimed in the parent specification is modified by the addition of a roof section, e.g. 4, the substitution of at least one floor section e.g. 8 of a minimum of two, and by the limitation that the outer end hanger members, e.g. 6, the rear side section and the roof of the modified staging are closed to provide weather protection. The rear side section, e.g. 14, can be formed from a stressed sheet, or from a rigid open framework such as 12 covered with a loose flexible sheet, preferably suspended from the roof. The components are preferably transparent or translucent, e.g. sheet coverings are of nylon or polyethylene, and the roofing section may be flat, corrugated or ribbed, and preferably slopes to the rear. In the. embodiment shown, translucent sheets 15 are rivetted together and supported on a metal frame 16, and the end hanger members comprise shaped sheets having means 22 and 24 to attach and guide a supporting cable.
